History
Established in 1908.
Built in 1908, the bar has been through few changes. The longest-running ownership was Al’s Transbay Tavern, mentioned in Dirty Harry and frequented by many of San Francisco’s famous and infamous personalities. In 1977 the stage area was opened up and built out, and we’ve been serving live music as well as good food and real drinks ever since.
